About us

We are a non-profit organization offering skating programs for all ages and skill levels in the Rayside-Balfour area. We are a ​Skate Canada member club and all of our programs are run at or beyond their high expectations by professional coaching members assisted by many volunteers.  We are always happy to welcome new and returning skaters, coaches, administrators, officials and volunteers.

Our Mission

As a Skate Canada member club, Chelmsford Skating Club shares the vision of helping all our members embrace the joy of skating. Our mission is to provide top quality skating programs. We want all of our members to use skating to develop healthy lifestyles, life skills and creativity in a community that promotes the excellence of skaters, coaches, officials and administrators. Members of our club will follow Skate Canada's Long Term Athlete Development Model learning to skate, train, compete, win and, skate for life through a variety of programs.

More about our affiliation to Skate Canada

A not-for-profit organization, Skate Canada is the oldest and largest figure skating organization in the world and is recognized by the Government of Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) as the governing body for the sport of figure skating in Canada.  Skate Canada is designated by the Internation Skating Union (ISU) as the official sanctioning body of figure skating in Canada and oversees the rules and standards of the sport at the developmental, national and international levels of competition within Canada.
